FTR selected for integrated digital court recording solution project in MassachusettsDawn Mahler
For The Record Ltd. (FTR) has been selected to provide integrated digital court recording and content management solutions for the Massachusetts Trial Court. The five-year contract, with options out to 11 years, was awarded by the Office of Court Management which serves as the primary management office for Massachusetts Trial Court.
The selection was made after a competitive bid process among top digital recording vendors in the industry. FTR has partnered with AVI-SPL, one of the world’s leading AV integrators, to assist in this multi-year implementation spanning 450 courtrooms across 100 courthouses. The comprehensive agreement includes software licenses, hardware, playback, transcription management services and support.
This innovative, integrated deployment will give key stakeholders a whole new way to access the record. The statewide project will implement FTR’s leading digital court recording technology as well as the Falcon range, a fully-integrated suite of products which enables real-time record transfer, on-demand ordering, production and distribution of transcripts. Falcon enables efficient and practical connectivity to the digital court operation for consumers of court content – judges, transcription firms, stenographers, and attorneys.
“We are excited to welcome the prestigious Massachusetts Trial Court to the FTR family and our growing list of enterprise customers,” said Tony Douglass, President of For The Record. “FTR is also pleased at the opportunity to partner with AVI-SPL and in conjunction provide a reliable, high-quality digital recording solution for this pivotal project.”
